La connaissance de son évolution ne peut être comprise sans la prise en compte de l’apport de ses principaux artisans. L’histoire des bibliothécaires au Québec est ainsi une contribution à la connaissance de la discipline et de la profession en notre milieu.
For a History of Quebec Librarians
In addition to facing today’s challenges and anticipating future developments, a mature profession must be aware of and understand its past. The evolution of the profession cannot be considered without taking into account the contribution of its main artisans. The history of librarians in Quebec is therefore a contribution to the knowledge of the discipline and of the profession in our milieu.
